Health Jam is launching a 3-year national Jump Off Tour to reduce the occurrence of HIV, sexually transmitted diseases, obesity, pregnancy, drugs, alcohol, physical, gangs, mental & verbal abuse in students’ communities and homes.

Health Jam, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, is a multi-tiered, integrated, targeted program combining a national tour to schools in major markets reaching more than a half million adolescents and their parents. It promotes self-respect, ethical behavior and respect among adolescents in schools & communities through a pop-culture approach that kids respond to and understand.

Health Jam helps those students make sensible life choices working with parents and teachers to instruct students from the kids’ point of view in a style and format that grabs and holds their attention. It delivers a powerful message that reaches kids when and where they need to find it by using music, trained speakers and educators.

The kick off is on August 18, 2007 with an event in New York City called Jam-A-Thon slated to include a top tier band/artist. With 8 tour stops in 2007, more than a half-million students and parents will be involved in Health Jam. Additionally when the tour increases to 12 stops in 2008, nearly 800,000 students and parents will participate. In 2009 with 25 tour stops, more than 1.6 million students and parents will participate in Health Jam.
